Driver/ Loader

JOB SUMMARY

The Driver Loader is responsible for assisting in the delivery of parcel and merchandise between Head Office and Branches

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist driver in delivery of parcels
• Liaise with Warehouse Manager to chart course of delivery per day to day operations.
• Maintain full responsibility for vehicles and equipment, and vehicle Cleanliness, assigned to. Ensure that the requirements of the driver’s handbook are adhered to.
• Ensure that any vehicle accidents are reported immediately and complete all relevant paperwork in relation to vehicle accidents
• Be responsible for all paperwork (including HR and Operational documents and driver log books) and hand these in on a daily basis.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in warehouses.
• Drive trucks, when required, to pick up incoming stock or to deliver merchandise and documents to designated locations.
• Ensure that all items are handled with care and are packed to ensure goods are not damaged in transport Report all items damaged in delivery
• Upon arrival to designated location ensure that goods are delivered to in house designated stock storage area.
• Assist in processing of Containers received.
• When in down time; carry out functions of Warehouse Attendant
• Operate Forklift

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be 25 years and Over
• Former Loader Experience
• Basic Computer Literacy
• Must possess a Valid Drivers Permit

Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
